Price Plans

  • *2[ Monthly Data Usage] If you exceed the sum of your monthly data allowance (4GB/20 GB/30 GB) and any additional data allowance with Extra Data Option (if you have signed up for it; 2GB/5GB/5GB), the maximum speed is reduced to 300kbps in Simple2 S and 1Mbps in Simple2 M/L, for both transmission and reception until the end of the current month. Additionally if half of the allowance capacity (2GB/10GB/15GB) is consumed, data speed is reduced to 128kbps for both transmission and reception.You can purchase additional data for ¥550 per 0.5GB to go back to the original data speed. Application Fee

For new subscription or device upgrade, in addition to the device purchase cost, an activation fee is required.

We will in voice the activation fee directly to the contract holder at a later date.
The activation fee cannot be refunded upon cancellation

Payment Method

For monthly payment, using a credit card or bank account transfer is recommended.

Payment with credit card

●After applying, it may take 1 to 2 months for card withdrawals and procedures with financial institutions to be completed. Until then, we will send you a transfer form, so please pay from a convenience store or financial institution. ●If you wish to pay by credit card, we will ask you to use a credit card, and if you wish to pay by bank transfer, we will confirm your bankbook or cash card at the time of application.

Mobile Phone Number Portability (MNP)

When switching from another company to Y!mobile smartphone or mobile phones, you can use Mobile Number Portability (MNP) to keep your current phone number.

  • ●You will no longer be able to use the device you were using with your previous company. Upon termination of that contract, you will also not be able to use the relevant services, such as mail address, payment plans, discount services, contents and e-money services. ●If you have a discount service on your yearly contract, you may be charged for early cancellation of the contract. ●Handling charges as determined by the other carrier apply when transferring from another company. No MNP leaving processing fee or number transfer processing fee is payable when you leave or transfer your number from Y!mobile. ●Depending on the customers contract, you may not be able to make reservations by phone or the internet (MNP reservations are done according to each company’s protocol). ●When using the Mobile Number Portability (MNP) service, the contract with the pre-transfer carrier is canceled the moment the transfer process is completed by the post-transfer carrier. In the event the transfer process is conducted during a period which is not the contract renewal month of the pre-transfer carrier, a penalty for breach of contract may be charged depending on the content of the contract between the pre-transfer carrier and the customer. Please be aware that when conducting the transfer process (MNP) via the Internet, time may be required for the transfer process to be completed.

■ Proof of identification

Under the Mobile Phone Improper Use Prevention Act, you are required to present the documents stipulated by Y!mobile when you enter into a contract. See the Y!mobile website (▶https://www.ymobile.jp/support/process/honkaku/) for details. You are required to present the documents in the box below when applying for an instalment purchase contract.

Please have the original documents with you. Photocopies are not accepted. The documents presented are not used for other than applicant identification. We may ask you to present one or more of the following documents depending on the contents of your application:

Residence Card + Foreign Passport

Special Permanent Residence Certificate
■ Document must be valid. 
■ Must have your current address written on it.
  • ※ If the document shows an address different from your current address or no address at all, supplementary documents will be required.
  • ※ We do not accept residence cards with the residence status of“none”.
  • ※ Without the proper residence status, you will not be able to enter into a contract for instalment payment.
  • ※ You do not need to show your foreign passport if your residence status is “Permanent Resident (PR)” or “Highly Skilled Professional (ii).”
  • ※ For an up-grade, you do not need to show your foreign passport if you present your Residence Card.
  • ※ Foreign nationals applying for instalment purchase contracts or per-item credit purchase brokerage contracts will need these confirmation documents.

■ Supplemental Documents

  • ● An original copy of a Certificate of Items Stated in Resident Register received within the last 3 months, a utility bill payment receipt proving you live in Japan(electric bill, gas bill, water bill, etc.), a document notarized by a municipality of Japan.
  • ● A document with your current address.(We cannot accept documents that we cannot confirm your correct address with, such as ones showing only the building name or room number)

Set up iPhone APN

If you are unable to connect to the Internet (send and receive mobile data) using the latest version of iOS, follow the procedure below to set up your APN.

Download and install the iPhone APN setup configuration profile

STEP1

Connect to Wi-Fi or mobile data, and open Y!mobile official website in Safari.

STEP2

Tap「APN設定用の構成プロファイル」.

STEP3

Tap “Allow”.

  • ※If Select Device shows after your tap, please select “iPhone”.

STEP4

Tap “Close”.

  • ※Depending on your version of iOS, the screens in STEP4 and STEP5 may not be displayed.

STEP5

Return to the Home screen,tap on “Settings”, then tap on “Profile Downloaded”.

  • ※If "Profile Downloaded" is not displayed, tap “Settings” > “General” > “VPN and device management” > “APN”.

STEP6

Tap“Install”.

When prompted for your passcode, enter it following the directions on the screen.

  • ※The passcode is a number (typically six-digit long) to be configured by the user for unlocking of devices.

When transferring SIM from another company

If another company’s profile is set up, you will not be able to install Y!mobile profile.Make sure to delete the profile.

  • ※ When deleting an APN configuration profile, emails and memos tied to that profile will also be deleted.If you require this data, be sure to backup these files before deleting the APN configuration profile.

Set up an APN to communicate.
Please follow the steps below even if the APN is already set up automatically.

Depending on your device, your APN may be set up automatically. If the mobile communication cannot be established, configure APN in the following steps.

Can I use the Y!mobile SIM card overseas?

Yes. For SIM card (including eSIM) only subscribers, the global roaming option will be available from the 5th month: the day after the last day of the 4th billing month after the service sign up.

Global Roaming Option application is required.

I have a smartphone device purchased overseas. Can I use it just inserting Y!mobile SIM card?

Basically, you can use your own device as long as it supports the following Y!mobile frequency band and communication method.

The service area coverage varies depending on the communication method and frequency band supported by your device.
Currently high-speed, large-capacity 5G (new frequency) service is provided in a limited area.
Please check the coverage area in advance before you sign up the 5G service.

Depending on the specifications of your device, you may not be able to use the service even if it just adopt the available communication methods and frequencies.
Please ask the manufacturer or retailer for the specifications of your device.

If the device is SIM-locked by the network operator from which the device was originally purchased, it must be unlocked before using the SIM (including eSIM) of Ymobile.
