About Specific Absorption Rate (SAR)
This product is designed to comply with the government's technical standards *1 regarding human absorption of radio waves and the radio wave protection limits recommended by equivalent international guidelines. These international guidelines were established by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP), which is in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), and the permissible limits include a substantial safety margin designed to assure the safety of all users, regardless of age or health condition.
National technical standards and international guidelines define the permissible value for radio wave protection as the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR), which represents the average amount of radio wave energy absorbed by the human body. The permissible SAR value for mobile phones is 2.0W/kg.
The maximum SAR value for this product [Pocket WiFi® 5G A501ZT] during normal use as described in this instruction manual is 1.879 W/kg *2. While there may be slight differences in SAR between individual products, all meet the allowable limits. Data communication devices are designed to use the minimum transmission power required for communication with mobile phone and other base stations, so the SAR value is usually lower during actual communication. Generally, the closer the distance from the base station, the lower the output of the data communication device.
