VoLTE／VoLTE（HD＋）

Overview

"VoLTE" is an abbreviation for Voice over LTE, a voice calling service using ultra-high speed communication services (FDD-LTE).
You can enjoy calls between compatible devices.
"VoLTE (HD+)" supports EVS (Enhanced Voice Services), a voice codec technology that further improves the sound quality of VoLTE, allowing you to hear higher sounds and enjoy clearer sound quality calls than with previous VoLTE.

  • ※Voice calls using VoLTE are not included in the high-speed data communication volume of your Price Plan.

Features of VoLTE/VoLTE (HD+)

High quality calls

It enables calls with higher quality (HD Voice) than conventional voice calls.
It includes high-frequency sound components that were cut in conventional audio, resulting in clear, easy-to-hear calls without muffled sound.

  • ※High-quality voice calls are available between Y!mobile and SoftBank VoLTE-compatible models, between VoLTE (HD+)-compatible models, or between HD Voice-compatible models. If a VoLTE/VoLTE (HD+)-compatible model moves into a 3G area during a call, the call will automatically switch to conventional voice quality (calls on 3G lines), and will not switch back to high-quality voice even if the device moves back into a VoLTE/VoLTE (HD+) communication area.

  • ※To start or stop voicemail or call forwarding, please set it up on My Y!mobile or on the device itself.
  • ※If you change from a model that is eligible for this service to a model that is not eligible, or from a model that is not eligible to this service to a model that is eligible, the ring time before forwarding to the voicemail center or forwarding number will be set to 20 seconds. You can change this setting on My Y!mobile.

  • ※If you change to a model that is not covered by this service, the call restriction settings you have set will be cancelled.
  • ※If you move into a 3G area while the call is on hold, the call may be disconnected.
  • ※If you move into a 3G area while making or receiving a call, the call may be disconnected.
