This mobile phone is designed to comply with the government's technical standards (*1) regarding human absorption of radio waves, as well as the radio wave protection limits recommended by equivalent international guidelines. These international guidelines were set out by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP), which is in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), and the permissible limits include a substantial safety margin designed to assure the safety of all users, regardless of age or health condition.
National technical standards and international guidelines define the permissible value for radio wave protection as the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR), which indicates the average amount of radio wave energy absorbed by the human body, and the permissible SAR value for mobile phones is 2.0 W/kg. The maximum SAR value for this mobile phone when tested on the side of the head is 1.858 W/kg (*2), and the maximum SAR value when worn on the body is 0.759 W/kg (*2). While SAR values may vary slightly between individual products, all of them meet the permissible values.
Mobile phones are designed to transmit at the minimum power required for communication with a mobile phone base station, so the SAR value is usually lower when you are actually making a call.
This mobile phone can be used in positions other than at the temple. Please use an accessory such as a carrying case to keep the phone at least 1.5 cm away from your body, with no metal parts between the phone and your body.
