This product is designed to comply with the government's technical standards *1 regarding human absorption of radio waves and the radio wave protection limits recommended by equivalent international guidelines. These international guidelines were established by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP), which is in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), and the permissible limits include a substantial safety margin designed to assure the safety of all users, regardless of age or health condition.
National technical standards and international guidelines define the permissible value for radio wave protection as the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR), which represents the average amount of radio wave energy absorbed by the human body. The permissible SAR value for mobile phones is 2.0W/kg.
The maximum SAR value for this product, the Raku-Raku-Raku SMARTPHONE a, at the side of the head is 1.205 W/kg, and when worn on the body *2, the maximum SAR value is 0.823 W/kg *3. While there may be slight differences in SAR between individual products, all meet the allowable limits. Mobile phones are designed to transmit the minimum power required for communication with mobile phone base stations, so the SAR value is usually lower when actually making a call. Generally, the closer the distance to the base station, the lower the output of the mobile phone.
The World Health Organization has stated that "Numerous studies have been conducted over the past 20 years to assess whether mobile phones pose a potential health risk. To date, no adverse health effects have been established as being caused by mobile phone use."
